Bicknoller Parish Council

Bicknoller Parish Council is an elected corporate body consisting of seven councillors that serves as the lowest tier of local government; and is the level of government closest to the community below Somerset Council.

The parish council has responsibility for local issues, including setting an annual precept to cover the council’s operating costs and conducts its business properly and in line with the Council’s and Local Government’s laws and regulations. The parish council is consulted on local planning applications and works with the local police, unity council officers and councillors, and other community service providers for the benefit of the parish.

Additionally, Bicknoller Parish Council owns and is responsible for several parish assets including benches, the bus shelters, the public access defibrillator and the area of common land known as Woolston Moor.
