EVENTS IN THE VILLAGE
(all take place at the Village Hall unless otherwise stated)
9 February – 7.30 p.m. Demonstration of Canal Art (a Bicknoller W.I. event)
15 February – 7.30 p.m. – ROTARY WINE TASTING EVENT with light supper. Book tickets now (£15 each) by calling 01984 656222.
22 February – 2.30 p.m. – “The Work of the Quantock Rangers”. Tim Russell, Senior Ranger, will be coming to talk to us about caring for the countryside we all know and love, and about the ways the Ranger Service works to protect this special environment. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be served after the talk. Non-members are always most welcome.
25 February – PCC Coffee morning & quiz with prizes.
8 March – 7.30 p.m. – Supper and a DVD “Made in Dagenham” (a Bicknoller W.I. event)
24 March – Spring Flower Show – 2.30 p.m.
27 March – 12 noon: PCC Lent Lunch
1 April: Royal British Legion annual lunch at the Bicknoller Inn
5 May: Royal British Legion coffee morning at Combe Cottage, Dashwoods Lane.
2 & 3 June Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
Plans are hatching for a sports/fun afternoon for all age groups with a free village tea. This will be followed by an evening entertainment, music and food for all the family. Also a special church service and a Flower Festival. More details later.
